A great time was had by all at the Black Sheep Holiday show that happened last weekend. There were plenty of smiles, and we all cried to see Big Storm perform one final time on our stage. Bands that played included Wir Können, Coed Pageant, Lamp, and Big Storm. Thanks to AJWF Photography, we have some pretty good documentation of the night. You can check out a few photos of the show above and below, or also head over to this photo album on facebook for a few more. You can also stream a youtube video below, featuring at least one song from every band’s set as well as some banter in-between.

Next big Black Sheep show/event will be the Dumb Records One Year Anniversary show coming up on Saturday, January 10th.

New Year’s Eve is coming up very fast (Wednesday, December 31st) and there is nothing lined up at Black Sheep for this special night. There is, however a house show happening in Springfield that we are here to tell you about today. It is taking place at Springfield house venue The Haunted Mansion and will feature four great bands- two touring and two local. Those bands include the hardcore group Glaassss from Austin, Texas. Stream some of their music below. Glaassss will be on tour with an electronic noise/punk project called Skeleton. We also have some sort of return of Austin & Austin: The Band, which we all know as a project related to the recently disbanded Montagh. To top this show off there will be a performance by the nasty local punk group, King Worm.

The show at The Haunted Mansion will start at 7:30 pm and the house is asking for $5 to support the touring acts. Check out a facebook event here and you can find a tad more on house rules and such. We also have more Springfield shows outside of Black Sheep listed on our Springfield shows page. This being the last show of 2014, don’t forget that we still have our Springfield Music Poll for 2014 going until Wednesday afternoon. You can vote in that poll right here.
