There is a hot chocolate-themed show going on at the CFP basement house venue tonight, and you are all invited. The C.F.P. stands for “Chocolate Flavored Paste” which is what they use to put in the water and stir it up and put it in the microwave to make hot chocolate. It will be an all around wonderful time. You are supposed to bring a mug and two dollars if you want it filled up with some special C.F.P. There are also musical acts. This includes touring act Jack M. Senff from Michigan. Check out Jack’s music on the player below. We’ve also got… Mario Cannamela of the band Bottom Bracket. Mario’s bedroom is upstairs at the end of the hall. Emily Hough is also playing, the 17 year old singer/songwriter from Petersburg who has been doing big things and putting out great tunes. Also Reggie & The Demons! (Who is Niko). Opening things up or something is Chance Knight doing some spoken word / poetry.

This show is at the CFP, if you don’t know where it is you’re gonna haft to ask somebody, sorry. It starts at 7:00 pm and admission is $5. Check out a facebook event for this one right here. Also be sure to check out our Springfield shows page to look at a small list of shows going on in Springfield outside of our own space.

Did you know there is a very solid show going on in town tonight, not at our space? For those of you unfamiliar, The CFP is a house venue in town and it stands for “The Club For Pets” so bring your pets. This show features world famous band “World’s Famous Dad” from Georgia. Listen to their newest release, Get Over It on the player below. Also on this show is Nectar from Champaign/Urbana, always a solid Champaign band to go on a Springfield show, right? And of course, Attic Salt* is playing this show too, we hear they all live in that basement anyways.

That one starts at 7:00 pm at that house, and the door charge is $5-7. Don’t know where The CFP is? That’s too bad because we can’t tell you. Find a facebook event for the show right here. Also check out our Springfield shows page for a list of other shows happening in town outside of Dumb Records.

For those of you unfamiliar, CFP is a house venue in town and it stands for “The Club For Pets” so bring your pets. This show features world famous band “World’s Famous Dad” from Georgia. If you haven’t noticed, the “CFP” house venue has been pretty quiet these past few months as things have been more up and rolling on the “Bread Stretchers” end of things. However, tonight the Springfield basement is hosting what looks like their one and only show this summer and the first one since shows have been happening at Bread Stretchers. Tonight the show at the CFP features the full band lineup of Kate The Band, who just released two hot new tracks on our site this past week. There are two touring bands on this show. The first is “Dead Selves” from Atlanta, Georgia. You can stream their music on the player below. The other band is “Dana Skully & The Tiger Sharks”. Wait, that band played at Black Sheep before, didn’t they? Opening things up is an act we haven’t seen in a minute – Marble Teeth from Decatur, Illinois.

All of this starts at the CFP house at 7:00 on July 3rd – yes, they will be serving Crusty Fish Pies as part of their vegan bake sale. It’s $5. Check out a facebook event for the show right here. Also check out our Springfield shows page where we try to keep a list of shows going on outside of our space in town.

If you haven’t noticed, the “CFP” house venue has been pretty quiet these past few months as things have been more up and rolling on the “Bread Stretchers” end of things. But it looks like The CFP is coming back this summer for one special show to show Bread Stretchers that they mean business. They are holding a “Vegan Bake Sale” to compete with all of the bread coming out of Bread Stretchers on Wednesday, July 3rd. This makes for four shows in a row since we have nows now lined up at our space on July 4th, July 5th, and July 6th. Yes, this is a terrible idea. This show at the CFP features the full band lineup of Kate The Band, who just released two hot new tracks on our site this past week. There are two touring bands on this show.
