If you haven’t noticed, the “CFP” house venue has been pretty quiet these past few months as things have been more up and rolling on the “Bread Stretchers” end of things. However, tonight the Springfield basement is hosting what looks like their one and only show this summer and the first one since shows have been happening at Bread Stretchers. Tonight the show at the CFP features the full band lineup of Kate The Band, who just released two hot new tracks on our site this past week. There are two touring bands on this show. The first is “Dead Selves” from Atlanta, Georgia. You can stream their music on the player below. The other band is “Dana Skully & The Tiger Sharks”. Wait, that band played at Black Sheep before, didn’t they? Opening things up is an act we haven’t seen in a minute – Marble Teeth from Decatur, Illinois.

All of this starts at the CFP house at 7:00 on July 3rd – yes, they will be serving Crusty Fish Pies as part of their vegan bake sale. It’s $5. Check out a facebook event for the show right here. Also check out our Springfield shows page where we try to keep a list of shows going on outside of our space in town.

If you haven’t noticed, the “CFP” house venue has been pretty quiet these past few months as things have been more up and rolling on the “Bread Stretchers” end of things. But it looks like The CFP is coming back this summer for one special show to show Bread Stretchers that they mean business. They are holding a “Vegan Bake Sale” to compete with all of the bread coming out of Bread Stretchers on Wednesday, July 3rd. This makes for four shows in a row since we have nows now lined up at our space on July 4th, July 5th, and July 6th. Yes, this is a terrible idea. This show at the CFP features the full band lineup of Kate The Band, who just released two hot new tracks on our site this past week. There are two touring bands on this show. The first is “Dead Selves” from Atlanta, Georgia. You can stream their music on the player below. The other band is “Dana Skully & The Tiger Sharks”. Whoops, we almost forgot to tell you – there is a five act show happening tonight at The CFP House here in town! It’s surely a matter of time before we are up and running with shows at our new space, but for now we are still in a house show era of Springfield underground music. This one looks like a pretty solid lineup – the Looming three-piece band is making a rare basement appearance tonight. Also Bottom Bracket who are hard at work on a new album and recently did a four day tour or something. Tonight there are two touring acts – one including “Farseek” from Ohio that played at Black Sheep at some point, right? If anyone remembers that old legendary Springfield DIY space. Also on tour from Michigan is Complainer. We have their music streaming on the player below. Opening things up is Springfield solo acoustic act Flunkie!

This show starts at 7:00 pm and admission is $5. Check out a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to check out our Springfield shows page, which we need to update. Thanks!

It’s hot outside today. The super bowl is going on. So what better way to spend it in a sweaty basement full of punks at the CFP house? That’s what’s going on tonight somewhere in this city. This show features a few touring acts – on the top of the bill is Chicago “straight edge hardcore” group Decline – whose music you can find streaming on the player below. Another hardcore group from St. Louis – Time & Pressure is coming, a band that has played at Black Sheep before. Another St. Louis band coming up for the show is Redbait. Sounds like we’ve got a packed house! Local groups include No Cash Value – who just played a short set at CFP last week. Last but not least is Final Order from right here in the Capital City.

This show starts at the CFP at 7:00 pm. Admission is five dollars to go to the out of town bands and it’s an all ages shows. If you do not know where the CFP is located, maybe you can inquire on the facebook event. Be sure to also check out our Springfield shows page where we try to keep a list of shows coming up in town that are outside of our own space.
