Ricki Marvel is an experience. She was born with musicality and lives to perform, specializing in creating atmospheric and evocative songs. Some adore her, others are confused or even offended by her audacity to exist and celebrate our shared capability for freakiness. At times ethereal, some of her music draws from art-pop influences while the pulsing, grinding beats indicative of bands like New Order are ever-present. Music as a means of confrontation, but also inclusion and a hint of escapism… you won’t experience Ricki Marvel without being affected in one way or another.
