Nefarious Cloud is an artist from Springfield, IL. He was born in Arlington,Tx as Robin L. Daniels II. He started making music with a friend from Quincy University while playing Football and attending school. He was Robin N Da Hood at the beginning but, later change it to D.B. Cooper, after the plane hijacker, to play on the recent tradition of the 2000s of artist’s naming themselves after criminals. He would end up at Joliet Junior College for his final year of Football but, he didn’t finish the season due to criminal misconduct resulted in getting kicked off the team.After transferring to WIU,he linked up with some other artists and started recording his first mixtapes as D.B. Cooper. His second semester into WIU,he got arrested for burglary.At that point,he decided that the upcoming felony would not hinder any dream he had if he could find a way to be his own employer. Cooshit was created shortly after. Soon after returning home,he linked up with a band singer that frequented the Black Sheep with the band Scott Blacula/Table Drama,named Julius Johnson.He was vital in the early years of Cloud’s development and recording.He reached his peak as D.B. Cooper with “00 Mode”,a tape based off the 007 movies.He later returned to WIU a year later on probation only to violate twice and got sent to IDOC Boot Camp. After 72 days in the X-House he was shipped to Dixon Springs.The experience became the death of D.B. Cooper and birth of Nefarious Cloud. After his release in 2016, he released his LP shortly, after called “Cloud Al Ghul”. It stuck to the traditional Lo-Fi sound of D.B. Cooper but, it wouldnt be the rule of sound for long. 2017 has been very productive for him releasing 5 different EP and a full 13 song album based on Bleach called “Espada 13”. His latest album is considered to be “Grunge Hop” a poly-genre of Hip Hop and metal,punk,grunge,etc.The ever evolving sound of Nefarious Cloud is something to witness as he attempts to destroy all musical boundaries within a short amount of time. Inspired by “pop culture and obscene shit” Nefarious Cloud started making music while playing football and attending Quincy University. He eventually adopted the moniker, D.B. Cooper, after the infamous plane hijacker and followed in his footsteps and was later arrested for burglary. He decided not to let anything outside forces hinder his musical career and soon after created his brand, “Cooshit”. After a few more incidents and another attempt at school he ditched the D.B. Cooper name and was reborn as Nefarious Cloud, a name thought of in IDOC Boot Camp. “Already knew I wanted to be Cloud because I’m an Air sign,“ he says. “But, I accidently found “Nefarious” [while] looking up the Egyptian Queen, Queen Nefertiti in a dictionary.” The ever evolving sound of Nefarious Cloud is something to witness as he attempts to destroy all musical boundaries within a short amount of time.
