Today the Black Sheep Radio Show is back in action after taking a vacation for a couple of weeks in a row. We are extra excited about today’s episode. Today we have Dave Adams coming in as our guest- former vocalist / guitarist for the late 70’s / early 80’s springfield punk and new wave band called “Food and Money.” Dave will be joining us as he gears up for two shows in town this weekend- tonight he will performing at the Walnut Street Winery and then on Sunday he will be performing solo inside of Dumb Records for a show starting at 7:00 pm. We will play some of Dave’s newer tunes as well as some ones from Springfield’s past and talking about how things were back then compared to now.

Join us on The Black Sheep Radio Show from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on 88.3 WQNA! Also on wqna.net for those of you who prefer listening online. Check out our radio show page here for a few downloadable episodes of the past.

We are mixing things up a little bit more at Black Sheep with this benefit show happening here at the very start of next month on Saturday, October 1st. This one will be a benefit show for local radio station WQNA 88.3, also the station that hosts the Black Sheep Radio Show every Friday. Recently WQNA’s transmitters suffered damage from a storm, which then inspired the idea for a benefit. Part of the proceeds for this show will be going to WQNA. On the bill we have Springfield three piece band SAP. We also have TANG– the band, not the drink, which features Ted Keylon who also has a program on 88.3. Then is The Good Companions featuring Danny Kerwin of Monophonic-Stereo Show on Monday nights. We have one touring band on the bill here, and that is Chicago’s Imelda Marcos. You can check out some music by them streaming on the player below. Then opening things up is Shark Week.
