February 9th at Black Sheep: Scott Blacula, Dino Bravo, Emperor Norton, Austin & Austin

8394542677_dfba91aaa1_bOn Saturday, February 9th there will be a show. This might not be your typical show because we hear that two of these bands might be putting on a BATTLE SET. That’s right folks, Scott Blacula might be battling it out with wrestling fanatics Dino Bravo. With both bands being extreme fans of wrestling, this will be a battle/wrestle match for the record books. Who will win? Last time Scott Blacula played a battle set they won over guitarist Nick DeMarco from Our Lady. We will see what happens this time around!

On one end of the ring we have the undefeated villains Scott Blacula. Come out to boo them on! Then on the other side we have Champaign villains and sludgy Melvins-y rock band Dino Bravo. Joining in on the fun we have Emperor Norton who play magic skate punk thrash. Then opening things up we have Austin & Austin who may be our referees for the match.

The show will start at 7:00 pm and is $5. You can find a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to head over to our shows page so you can see what other shows are coming up at the Black Sheep.

Illinois Times: “Dead Drop Springfield”

Those of you who check the Illinois Times every week may have caught a slight mention of Black Sheep in this past week’s issue. We were mentioned in a short article about “dead drops” which are USB memory sticks embedded in city walls. Black Sheep was mentioned because there is a dead drop in the alley by our building. There is no article posted online but if you scroll down you can read a scanned in image of the article.
