New Band Pages: The Seething Coast, Negative 17
We have TWO new pages up on our site for two active Springfield bands! Isn’t that spectacular? The two bands are The Seething Coast and Negative 17. You can check out The Seething Coast’s page here and Negative 17’s page right here. On the pages you can find links to music, band bios, and more. Negative 17 recently won crowd voting for our Black Sheep Battle of the Bands earlier this summer, which means that they will be playing Black Sheep Fest on Saturday. Black Sheep Fest One Week Away/Preparation
It’s hard to believe, but Black Sheep Fest 2013 is now only one week away. That means one week from now things are going to be pretty crazy inside of Black Sheep (see above picture of last year’s fest). With the fest being only one week away, we could use your help with some preparation!
– We could always use more help getting the word out about Black Sheep Fest and other shows! You can find fliers to print right here and here. It also helps to share the Facebook event around.
– Cleanup for Black Sheep Fest will be going on at 6:00 pm on Friday. This cleanup won’t be as intense as getting ready for Dumb Fest, but we could always use some help. Anyone who wants to come early the day of the fest to help us set up (around 11:00 am) is also welcome.
– We are having another flea market this year! This means feel free to bring stuff that you want to get rid of, or come prepared to take other people’s old stuff home with you!
Black Sheep Fest is on Saturday, July 27th and will be going on from 1:00 to 11:00 pm. Admission is $5. You can find a facebook event for the fest here, and a special page we set up for the fest right here.
Tonight at Black Sheep: Off With Their Heads, The Timmys, NIL8, RDNT
Tonight’s the big one! (Of course Battle of the Bands last weekend was also the big one, and Black Sheep Fest next weekend is another big one). The show tonight should still be one of the biggest and most fun shows this summer! Why? Because we have really awesome bands playing! We have Off With Their Heads from Minnesota coming! They were supposed to play here back in March but sadly had to drop. Tonight they are going to make it back to Springfield with a great set filled with tons of fun. They will be joined by a great lineup of local bands! The Timmys will be playing the show before Off With Their Heads. Before that is long-running punk band NIL8! NIL8 have not played a show in Springfield since December. Opening up the show is the teenage punk band RDNT.
The show kicks off at 7:00 pm and doors are at 6:30 pm. Admission is $8 unless you have already pre-ordered tickets for $6. If you pre-ordered tickets online, just bring a photo ID to the show and we will have your name on a will-call list. A facebook event for the show can be found right here. Also don’t forget to check out what other shows are coming up this summer over on our shows page.
