Why would any body put seven bands on one show? Who knows, but tonight it’s happening at Black Sheep! This one might look a little like the “Winter Wreck” that happened last month except without the “wreck!” This one is being called “The Stereo Show” because it features new Springfield band “Stereo Static“. You can stream some of their music on the player below. There are seven whole bands on this show (wow). Two more of them include Fill In The Blank and Sammy & The Punk, who both also played the Winter Wreck here last month. They both rock. On the bottom half of the flier we have the local pop group- “The Locals.” There’s another band called “Stems” that we don’t know a whole lot about, and then we have a couple of other groups familiar to Black Sheep- Blind Social and The Incorporated!

This one will be kicking off a little earlier at 6:00 pm, and the cover charge is just $5. You can find a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a good list of all the shows coming up at Black Sheep.

It’s time to let the wolves loose inside Black Sheep tonight! That’s right, we are having two wolf bands play tonight and it’s also the cassette release show for both Wolf Luv and Pryss. Pryss dropped their new 3-4 song demo online earlier this week, which you can listen to again on the player below. Wolf Luv will also be releasing a cassette at the show tonight, both being put out by Ooey Gooey Tapes. Also playing the show is Springfield’s own GUSH and a new Bloomington/Normal project which we don’t know a whole lot about called WLVES.

The show tonight will start at 7:00 pm and admission is $5. Bring a few bucks for a tape maybe. You can find a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a good look at everything else coming up at Black Sheep in the next few months.

It has been a long time since we have seen a show hosted at Southtown record store Dumb Records! We have one being announced for Wednesday, March 16th. This one will be an early show in the record store starting at 6:00 pm so it will get over in time for game night at Black Sheep at 8:00 pm. There is a rumor going around that the record store might have a little bit more open space in time for this show. This show will feature the Lexington, Kentucky band The Elsinores, which you can stream on the player below. The Elsinores will be on tour with a one-man band called Globsters, which we have been told will blow your minds. Speaking of one-man projects, we have a few local ones also on the show. We have F///\\\M on board who we have not seen in a while. There is another rumor going around that F///\\\M is breaking up since half of their members are moving to Florida. Who knows if that is true! Opening things up is the one-man grind machine Gutterpriest.

Again, this show will begin at 6:00 pm. Dumb Records will be asking for suggested donations of $5 to go to the touring acts. In addition to all of this, Dumb Records will be offering 20% off everything in the store during the show! You can find a facebook event for this one right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a good look at all of the other shows coming up in the next few months in Southtown.
