Well, well, well, did you know that today just so happens to be our birthday? That’s right, seven years ago (January 11th, 2014) was the grand open for our store’s original location at 1107 South Grand Ave, next to The Black Sheep. So now we are officially 7 years old and entering our eighth year.
We are not looking to have a huge celebration this year of course, but we are deciding to move forward in re-opening our store (just a bitty bit more) today by switching the *open* sign to “on” from 12-5pm every day now.
Here’s the low-down for now:
– The store is open 12-5pm every day.
– Limit to 8 customers in the store at a time.
– Masks required (duh), we also have hand sanitizer as you enter.
– The arcade is still closed for now. We are not doing reservations on that for now either, maybe soon.
– We are still open to store appointments happening before noon or after 5pm! Just call, email or message us ahead of time.
– We are still offering shipping, delivery, or store pick-up options on shopdumbrecords.com!

Here we go on our first phase of re-opening up our own store as we leave this dreadful third wave of COVID-19 in this holiday season! We have been keeping our eyes on the numbers and are ready to start slowly re-opening the store (and then eventually the arcade).

We’ll keep a calendar going of our appointments and let shoppers in one at a time for this. We are open to make appointments at any time of the day as long as our calendar is open.
We are still pushing our online stores of course. Find the link to everything you need as far as that goes at SHOPDUMBRECORDS.COM. We are still going to be around every day for pickup orders from 12:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Whoops! This is not an easy thing for us to do, but at this point in time with cases of COVID-19 spiking in our area and continuing to be so much on the rise, we have decided the appropriate thing for us to do is to shut down our physical store and arcade for the time being.

We encourage you all to stay home during these times to help slow the spread of this dreaded disease! This is not an easy time for any of us. We’ll be back again someday. For curbside delivery orders, we are going to be open and available that at our downtown location from noon – 6pm every day.
We are once again trying something really stupid that we might regret later on. Now introducing: Dumb Records holiday hours! Where we don’t cut back any hours – we add some… for fun! And for Halloween! Our store is usually open every day from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. For these select days we are adding more hours:
• October 26th (the night of the 25th) we will be open from midnight to 3:00 am.
• October 28th we will be open until 10:00 pm along with a handful of other shops downtown!
• October 31st (halloween) we will be open until 10:00 pm! We might even have candy!
Then for all of these extended hours, we are opening up our arcade to everybody (no fee to enter). However, our limit of 5 people to the arcade at a time does apply, and masks are still required.
Amazing. We dropped some hot, fresh, and new new shirts on our online storenvy store. They are baseball tees (pictured above) printed on supersoft Bella Canvas brand shirts by MilesTShirts. We can’t believe how many we sold in the first… it hasn’t even been 24 hours yet, and we are already out of stock in some sizes. Looks like we are going to have to be getting more printed! And wow we are pretty low on the pink and yellow tees that we released last week!

As we adapt to the times more and more, we are re-vamping and adding / updating things to our online store. Today we added Dumb Records gift cards – now available in $25 and $50 variants on our storenvy site – however, get in touch with us if you would like a different custom amount. We might even have it set up to where you are paying less than $50 for a $50 gift card.

Great news everyone! We are not sure how much of a shirt-buying mood everyone is in after these crazy past few days, but we are preparing to have to close up our store (it has been loosely open today), and enter in online-mode in these new modern times.

Lately we have been working on getting our local music section here at the new downtown Dumb Records back up and running and better than ever. Today we are giving a call out for any more local music that we are missing on our shelves! We know there is LOTS out there!
