Finally we are here with our official announcement for Black Friday Record Store Day 2021!! Black Friday is typically the second busiest shopping day of the year for us, only next to Record Store Day (whenever that was going on as one day in April). We are now just 16 days away from Black Friday, happening on Friday, November 26th.
Okay, here are the important details, so pay attention: • Our store will be opening at 8:00 am sharp, and will be open until 8:00 pm. • Once again, we ordered everything we possibly could as far as Record Store Day official releases go. You can check out the full list on the Record Store Day website. All of these releases are first-come first-serve, and we can not reserve anything in advance. • The first 50 people in line will receive a Free exclusive “Dumb Record” t-shirt along with purchase of any item in the store. • Upon the initial opening rush of the day, we will be permitting 12 people at a time into the store. • We will be running some store-wide sales throughout the day including: – 25% off all used records – 50% off all dollar records – 50% off all used CDs • There will be 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm in-store performances by Tony Colantino and DJ Lowki Lit
That’s about it for now! You can expect a facebook event to go up shortly! Thank you everybody and have a great day!

This one features Dead/Awake – a Rockford, Illinois based deathcore metal band who is here to “bring the doom”!!! Sounds heavy. You can check out some of their music on the player embedded below! Then we have a group from Pontiac, Illinois called “Necro Signatures” who describes themselves as a six member deathcore band. Then of course we’ve got heavy hitting local support from hardcore group Prevention. Opening things up for now is Barosa from Decatur and Central Illinois – possibly be on the lookout for a fifth band to be added at some point!
This show is a 7:00 pm, $10 show. You can find a facebook event for this one right here! Also check out our shows page where we have a list of what is announced and coming up at our space!
Tonight! Happy rainy Sunday. We’ve got another show going on tonight – don’t worry, it’s only four bands this time.
For this show we have four bands. At the top of the bill is “Snuffed” – a hardcore band from Chicago we have been told is “nasty.” Stream the music on the player below to hear just now nasty they really are. Also on this show is Peoria veteran hardcore rockers in Bull Cult! Some of them over there helped open up a new venue in Peoria called the Hot Box. There is also a NEW band from Jacksonville on this bill playing some metal music called “War And Rumor.” Then there is also a NEW band from right here in Springfield playing hardcore music called “Hemlock”!
This show will start at 7:00 pm and admission this time around is $7. We are still requiring masks and checking vaccination cards for shows in October. Find a facebook event for this one right here. Also check out our shows page for a list of other upcoming shows at our space.
Tonight! We’ve got a show. It’s a Wednesday weeknight but we’ve got a six band hardcore show lined up, so we’ve got a long night ahead of us.
This one features heavy hitting Louisville, Kentucky hardcore band “Constraint.” You can stream their latest album Nerf Planet embedded on the player below. Looks like Constraint is going to be touring with Discourage coming all the way from California (and also playing hardcore music)! Ope, looks like we have another Louisville band and that is “Gates To Hell.” There’s even a band from Canada on here called Flash Back??? We have bands coming in every direction for this show! Of course we also have Prevention on the bill – and one update to the show since it was originally announced at that is opening things up looks like we have Direct Measure from the St. Louis area! Or wait… is it Penalty Box opening things up after all? Which band is it?
This show will start at 7:00 pm and admission is $10. Check out a facebook event for this show right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a list of everything we have announced and lined up.
