New Arrivals This Week at Dumb Records

Music! At least, that’s what we think it is. It’s another week here at Dumb Records downtown and we are having fun. Thank everyone who stopped by for a very successful Record Store Day “drop date” this past Saturday, it was our biggest day of the year so far. This week we are getting a little wacky with some additional “extended hours” – tomorrow night (Wednesday) a number of other downtown shops are going to be open until 10:00 pm for “Shop The Haunts” and we are too. We are also going to be open until 10:00 pm the night of Halloween for any of you bored looking for play some pinball (and our arcade will be open for free during those extended hours). Nice. Welcome to another week at Dumb Records, the pinballs are flying and so are the records. We had a very successful Record Store Day “drop date” weekend this past weekend even though we told you all you would be disappointed if you showed up in our selection. Apparently that didn’t stop a lot of people from coming in and buying things. There will be another one of those “drop dates” at the end of this month on Saturday September 26th as well, be on the lookout for more info on that one soon.

It’s time to drop a nice list of new arrivals for the store this week! Are you ready? This week we have a good chunk of new LPs, and the usual used, 12″ singles, and new and used CDs. No shows are going on of course, but there is a downtown Springfield pinball tournament we are hosting that is shaping up to be pretty fun. Yes, Record Store Day’s first “drop date” for 2020 is taking place this upcoming Saturday. We have a very very very small stack going out for this first drop date (please don’t be disappointed if we don’t have the exclusives you are hoping to get). Our store is open our usual hours of 11:00 am to 7:00 pm that day and every day, and we are still limiting the number of people inside our building to 10 at a time. Here is what’s new!
