tumblr_n9i98qQbg81qc6mopo1_1280

It looks like we have a little last minute addition to a show happening at Black Sheep this weekend on Saturday, November 28th. The show’s original lineup was Hollow Earth, Exalt, KDC, Loses The Mighty, and Milchjunge. Unfortunately the band Exalt is having to drop, but we have another band lined up for you. They are The Sheds, playing skater punk all the way from Agoura Hills, California. You can check out a sample of their tunes on the player below. The rest of the show’s lineup is still good to go, and we are excited to have The Sheds perform at Black Sheep.

The show on Saturday will start at 7:00 pm and the door charge is $7. You can find a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page to stay updated on everything coming up at Black Sheep.

New Band Pages: Milchjunge

milchjunge

Everyone has been talking about that new Springfield German punk band, Milchjunge ever since their first show earlier this month. Today we are bringing you a fresh new band page for the new band. You can check that out right here. On the page you can stream some of Milchjunge’s music and if you can read German you might actually learn a thing or two about the band. Milchjunge will be playing at Black Sheep this Saturday (November 29th) with Hollow Earth, The Sheds, KDC, and Loses The Mighty. More info on that show can be found right here.

Check out our long list of nearly 65 current band pages right here. Do you play in a Springfield band that does not have a page set up with us yet? We would love to hear from you! Shoot us an email at blacksheepspringfield@gmail.com and we will work with you to set up a new page.

Today we are bringing you a stream that we are a little late to the party for, and that is of the new band, Milchjunge’s new 2014 demo. For those of you who do not know, “Milchjunge” is German for “Milkboys” and the band features songs with all German lyrics. If you don’t believe us, you can listen for yourselves. Stream the four-song demo below, or head over to the Ooey Gooey Tapes bandcamp page where you can download it at your own price. The cassette for this demo was released along with a few others at the Southtown Record Fair, and is also currently available at Springfield record store Dumb Records.

Milchjunge will be playing next at Black Sheep this upcoming Saturday (November 29th) along with Hollow Earth, KDC, The Sheds, and Loses The Mighty.

Gazeebo is the noise project of Drew Kodrich who also runs Ooey Gooey Incorporated. You can stream the release below or head over to the Ooey Gooey bandcamp where you can download the release at your own price. There are currently no Gazeebo live performances lined up.

On Friday, December 12th we have an awesome punk/metal show lined up featuring a reunion from an old Central Illinois metal band called DinyourA. It looks like the band will be playing this reunion show and is also working on a brand new EP. From the DinyourA facebook page:

Update time!!!!! First thing is first: We are working on finalizing the lineup for our RETURN show which is set to take place in early October [December]. Once we have that figured out we’ll be posting the details and flooding your newsfeeds with all of the appropriate ballyhoo and pomp that one would expect from such a momentous occasion. Second thing is second: We are *still* working on the new EP but unfortunately encountered a bit of a setback but that issue is looking to be resolved shortly. We’re all really looking forward to seeing y’all back on the road and for the next step in the DinyourA story to unfold!

DinyourA was active from 2007 to 2011. Also playing the reunion show on December 12th is the St. Louis band Trauma Harness featuring members of MTV’s Lumpy & The Dumpers and Cal & The Calories. You can stream some of Trauma Harness’s music on the player below. Last time Trauma Harness played at Black Sheep was the first ever Dumb Fest in June of 2013. Also on the lineup for this show is the Springfield punk band King Worm. We also have a first ever show for a new band called Space Alpaca, which features members of Panzys.

This show is going to be another 7:00 pm, $5 show so don’t be late. Looks like there is no facebook event or flier yet. Be sure to check out our shows page for a look at everything else coming up at Black Sheep this winter.
