Dumb Records March Hour Changes

Screen shot 2014-02-25 at 9.00.30 AMThe new Southtown record store, Dumb Records is still fairly new so its hard working and dumb owners are still trying to figure out a few kinks and tricks that will make the store the best possible record store it can be. Because of all of this, starting March 1st there will be a change in operating hours. Check out the new hours below:

Fridays from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Saturdays from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm
Tuesdays from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Sound good? Good. Dumb Records will no longer be open Friday mornings, but instead will be open on Tuesdays from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Tuesdays will also be days for Dumb to highlight new arrivals coming in for the week. So be sure to (starting next Tuesday) stop by Dumb after school or work and check out everything new the store has to offer! The store is still trying to make sure there are new arrivals in every week. We will also start posting the Dumb Records new arrivals on this site every Tuesday starting next week. Stay dumb.

You can also purchase the track from the band’s bandcamp page for $777.00. Not a lot is known about the band Akaname but we have been told that the band might feature members of Springfield folk punk band Lovecow.

Akaname was also featured as a surprise guest on the last episode of The Black Sheep Radio Show (episode #59). They hinted at a Black Sheep performance coming up on March 26th.

Tonight at Black Sheep: Repo Man Screening with Worms, Mystery Gift, Suprise band

repoCheck it out for tonight: we’ve got not only a few cool bands playing, there’s ALSO going to be a screening of the movie Repo Man playing this evening. As Mikey T. puts it, “Dumb young LA punk becomes repo man. Mysterious car kills cop. Stuff happens.” So if you haven’t seen it, that’s what that movie is about and it’s going to be pretty fresh. We’ll also be featuring the local love-bird band Worms, who will be play some midwest raw-folk tunes. The punkers in Mystery Gift will have some questionable video game inspired jams to play. Then make sure to stick around because a SUPRISE NEW PUNK BAND will be making their way into the thrill of the night. Their set should be cool so come out, watch this movie and listen to these bands!

This whole ordeal starts at 6:30 for real. Bring snax and trading cards, bring $5 and wear your Sunday best. Here’s the facebook event. Come to more Black Sheep shows and save the drama for the fashion scene.
