Tonight at Black Sheep: “SuperDuperDopeDank Show”
Last night was a LOT of fun at Black Sheep, and hopefully tonight things will continue to not disappoint. Tonight we are having a pretty big hip-hop show, so if that is something you are into then we will see you there! This show will feature D.B. Cooper who also goes by the name of Cooshit, also the name of his clothing company which is sponsoring the show. Then we have Springfield’s own hip-hop artist Habilis Riccardo. Also another hip-hop/rap artist going by the name Pytch Wyte. Then a hip-hop duo called The Co-Pilots. Make sure you’re there to see Roskomillio, who is a rap artist who has performed at Black Sheep before.
This all starts at 7:00 pm tonight and admission is $5. You can find a facebook event for the show right here. Also check out our shows page to have a look at everything coming up in the near future for Black Sheep.
Today on Black Sheep Radio: Austin Duffie, Panzys
Lined up on the menu for today is another top-notch episode of The Black Sheep Radio Show, to be airing all across the city of Springfield. We have multiple special guests today. The first is Austin Duffie of Lanphier High School. Austin set up the show happening tonight at Black Sheep, and he is also working on a project for school focusing on D.I.Y. and punk ethics. We will be talking to Austin about the show tonight as well as his school project. If you want to help Austin out with his project you can fill out this form right here. Next up is a member of a brand new Springfield band called Panzys. We don’t have any music to play from this new band yet, but we will be talking to them about their first show happening tonight at Black Sheep.
That’s not all! We also have a few more tricks up our sleeves for the show this week! There will be a Black Sheep trivia question on this episode. If you are the first to answer correctly you will win free admission to one show this week or 50% off one item at Dumb Records. WOW. Listen closely to the show to catch the trivia question, and we will have an answer thread going on the Black Sheep Radio Show facebook page as soon as the question is asked. Sound good? Good.
The Black Sheep Radio show airs from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on 88.3 WQNA fm. You can also stream the show online at wqna.org. Be sure to check out our radio page where you can download almost every one of the past 65 episodes of The Black Sheep Radio Show.

The rest of the show will be rounded out by the noodley b00n and the literal “magicful” Mystery Gift. There’s talk of some new band called Bad Finger doing a set, but who knows. Regardless of Bad Finger, this one will be for the literal record “books.”
The show starts at 7:00pm and has a $5 admission. The Facebook event has even more details. Alas, there is more. Be sure to inspect our Shows page for more upcoming Black Sheep Shows. We even have other Springfield area events that make tickle fancies.

Boon Recording In Southtown Studio
It looks like the experimental-punk band boon are another band to be added to the long list of bands that have recently begun recording in South Town Studio, the new recording studio behind Black Sheep and Dumb Records. South Town Studio is ran by Brandon Canres of Looming, Big Storm, The Timmys, and now F///\\\M. Brandon posted a few photos of boon during the recording process (seen above). We do not yet know how many songs are being recorded or if a release is being planned, but we plan on letting you know when all of that is announced! Check out some of boon’s older material right here.
Boon will be playing at Black Sheep this Friday along with Panzys, Akaname, and Mystery Gift. You can find more info on that show right here.

Woohoo! Today we are happy to have finally made it to post number one thousand on this site that we have been going at for about one and a half years now (since August of 2012). Our site has been growing since the start and we have all of you to thank for continuing to check out what we’re doing.
We would also like to thank all of you who have been supportive of our announcement for the Dumb Waterpark™ coming later this summer. It’s been a long time coming and it looks like thanks to all of your support we are finally going to have our own water park in South Town. Get ready for a hot, dumb and splashy summer!
F///\\\M Challenging The World’s Largest Band To A Battle Set at SOHO
It looks like Springfield’s newest solo project “F///\\\M” (that’s MUCK///\\\FOUNTAIN spelled out for you) is up to some impressive new endeavors this year. F///\\\M is announcing that he is challenging the world’s largest rock band to a battle set during SOHO Music Festival on Saturday, June 7th. SOHO festival announced last month that they would be attempting to break a record for The World’s Largest Rock band during their festival, with an estimated 600 members. But will they be enough of a match for the mighty MUCK///\\\FOUNTAIN? For those of you who do not know, F///\\\\M features Brandon Carnes of The Black Sheep Radio Show, Looming, Big Storm, and The Timmys. F///\\\\M had this to say:
**** my ***. Fuh Q.
Will the World’s Largest Rock Band respond to such a hateful message? MUCK///\\\FOUNTAIN claims that he is also suing The Black Sheep Cafe and Dumb Industries for charging $5 at shows and not living up to true punk ideals. All of this new mischief coming up from MUCK///\\\FOUNTAIN makes earlier Black Sheep villains Table Drama look like a bunch of nice guys!
Dumb Waterpark Coming To South Town This Summer
It looks like the plans for a brand new waterpark in Southtown Springfield are finally coming together after many years of talk and rumors about the project. The waterpark will be called “Dumb Waterpark” and we have been told that we can expect to see construction begin as early as sometime next month. The waterpark is projected to be ready sometime towards the end of the summer, just in time for the fall of 2014.
Dumb Waterpark will be owned and operated by Jessica Knight of Looming and Asthma. Jessica says she is excited to take on this new endeavor because her family already has a good amount of experience in the waterpark business. Jess had this to say:
STOP IT NOOOOOOOOO
Thanks Jess! Black Sheep and Dumb Records owner Kevin Bradford also had a few things to say about the plans for this new waterpark:
Do you guys think this is a good idea?
You can expect to see a new page on our site for Dumb Waterpark soon. We are excited to welcome yet another business to the South Town community. We plan on keeping you all updated with the construction of Dumb Waterpark in the coming months.
