Deep in the sewers of Springfield, IL, out of the reach of love and morality, two bands were born to spread hate and noise through out the local scene. And hey, those two bands have a kick ass hate spewing show happening at The Black Sheep tonight!!! That’s right, Table Drama and King Worm are taking the stage Wrestlemania style to bring down the Black Sheep with their unique brands of grindcore and hardcore punk. Also at the Sheep tonight are Milwaukee Grind band Falter and Bloomington Hardcore band Reduced to Instinct. Will they fight back against the villainous locals or will they team up with them in their quest for total destruction. Be there tonight to find out!!!

Show starts at 7:00pm with a $5.00 cover going to the touring bands. For more information on this and other upcoming events at the Black Sheep check out the shows page.

Tonight at Black Sheep: Band Lotto Show

10556911_10204025405823187_8912551173490689419_oThere are a lot of things going on around South Town today and tonight on this special Saturday before school starts up again for a lot of you kids and students. Today at 2:00 pm at Dumb Records we are having a Black Sheep street team and roundtable meeting. Come prepared to split into groups to go flier around town. Then tonight at 7:00 pm we are having our first ever Band Lotto Show. What’s that all about? Well, as many of you know back in May we drew names out of a box full of volunteers into groups of four and fives (pictured on flier above). The groups had the task of creating a band to perform one set of original material (one cover allowed) for the Band Lotto Show happening tonight. There were 12 bands total, and we will see how many of those go on to perform tonight.

teenfreakflierThere has also been one twist thrown into the Band Lotto Show last minute. Band #1 is having to play much later in the night due to a member not being able to get off work. They will be playing an “after-show” of sorts in South Town Studio (right behind Black Sheep) at 11:00 pm tonight. Everyone is invited.

The Band Lotto Show kicks off at 7:00 pm tonight and admission is $5. You can find a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to check out what else we have coming up at Black Sheep by looking at our shows page.
