Black Sheep 10 Year Anniversary Show September 18th

bxs10yearflier2_4

Tonight we have a very big show announcement for a show that is pretty important to us as an all ages venue here in Springfield. On Friday, September 18th we will be celebrating the 10 year mark for Black Sheep, since our beginning in 2005. We certainly have come a long way since the very start, and there are hundreds of volunteers who have kept our doors open and plenty of dedicated individuals- Kevin Bradford to name one who has been the main Black Sheep owner for most of the ten years our venue has been around. To read more on important milestones the Black Sheep has taken on and a little bit more on our history, take a look at our Black Sheep history page.

We will have five acts playing the ten year anniversary show. These include some twists. We have Our Lady, which has been a band since 2009- during most of the years that Black Sheep has been around. We also have a set from a very rare unnamed band that we very much recommend for show-goers and punk fans from our earlier years. We also have Looming, who will be releasing their new album Nailbiter here at Black Sheep on August 14th. Before them we have another extremely rare performance by hardcore band Soap Scum, who has not played at Black Sheep in close to a year. Opening things up is a brand new noise project called Unicon Communications.

The ten year anniversary show will start at 7:00 pm and admission is just $5. You can find a facebook event for this show right here. In the meantime check out our shows page for a look at everything else coming up at Black Sheep this fall.
