Montagh: “Am I Enough Yet?”

This past weekend we were sad to see two Springfield bands go as they played their last show to a good crowd on Saturday night. Lovecow and Montagh both played their final shows together after a few years of bringing great folk music to Springfield. Today we are bringing you the final Montagh release- a 13 song CD entitled Am I Enough Yet?. You can stream that release below or head over to the band’s bandcamp page where you can download all of the songs for $5.

Am I Enough Yet? is also being released on CD by Springfield label Patch Records. You can find copies of the CD at Dumb Records starting tomorrow (open from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm).

Panzys: “Half Dark Heart”

Looks like Springfield young punk band Panzys have sprung a new eight-song release that none of us saw coming, and now we have yet another great Springfield release to come out this summer. This is another one that was recorded at South Town Studios, which has been on fire recording band after band all summer long. The new release is streaming below, and you can also head over to the Panzys bandcamp page and download it at your own price.

Panzys have a couple of shows currently lined up at Black Sheep. One is happening on Thursday, August 14th along with Glish, Blind Social, and Meredosia. The other is happening on Friday, September 5th and it is with Lumpy & The Dumpers, Mongoloid, Mouthsex, and King Worm.

Bad Banshee: Skitter/Skitter

Looks like the new music will NOT STOP coming out of Springfield. Did you know that the ska-punk band Akaname recently changed their name to Bad Banshee? Well, they did and now they have a brand new release under that name. It’s an 8-track CD called Skitter/Skitter and today we are bringing you a stream of that release. What a treat! You can stream those eight songs below or head over to the band’s bandcamp page where you can get the whole thing for just $5.

Bad Banshee does not have any shows currently lined up at Black Sheep, but members do play in folk-punk band Lovecow who will be playing their last show this Saturday at Black Sheep. You can find more information on that one right here.

I’m Dead Inside: “Rather Be Judged By Twelve Than Be Carried By Six”

Springfield keeps cranking out more and more new music this year, and it looks like the bands are not about to stop. Today we have a stream of the new EP from new Springfield screamo/scramz band I’m Dead Inside. The band features members of many Springfield bands including Our Lady, Soap Scum, Montagh, and Paqui. The EP is called Rather Be Judged By Twelve Than Be Carried By Six. You can stream it below or head over to the band’s bandcamp page and download it at your own cost.

Knives: “In From The Stills”

Today we are bringing you a brand new song from a brand new Springfield band called Knives. Knives is a new band featuring members of Our Lady, Looming, Mother Leopard, Asthma, Caterpillar Club, (the list goes on). Knives recently released a new song called “In From The Stills” off of their upcoming EP. You can stream that song below or also purchase it for $1 off of the Knives bandcamp page. Knives also has a new facebook page which you can check out right here. You can also expect the release to come out on cassette through Springfield label Guard Records.

Knives will be the first band performing at Black Sheep Fest 2014 tomorrow. They play right at noon, so be sure to come out early to catch their set.

Wilt Candy: “EP”

Springfield folk duo Wilt Candy have recently debuted their first ever recordings with an eight-song EP, and today we are excited to share the new EP with you all. Wilt Candy will be one of the many bands performing at Black Sheep Fest tomorrow. More information on that can be found right here. Wilt Candy will be also playing at Black Sheep on August 23rd with The Complaint Line, This City of Takers, and Tiger Rider.

King Worm: “No Future City”

Today we are bringing you a stream of one of Springfield’s newest and sneakiest punk bands, King Worm. The new band features members of Mouthsex, Mildred, Asthma, Table Drama, Aporia, and Meredosia. Their new five song EP is called No Future City and is being released on cassette through Springfield label Ooey Gooey Tapes. You can be sure to find the cassette at Dumb Records once the physical version is released. You can stream the five songs right now on the player below.

Want to catch King Worm live? They have a few shows lined up right now. The first is August 7th at Black Sheep along with Mouthsex, Ski Mask, Pregnancy Test, and Swamp Rat. The second is August 17th at Black Sheep along with Falter, Reduced To Instinct, and Table Drama. Last but not least the band will be playing on September 5th at Black Sheep along with Lumpy & The Dumpers, Mongoloid, Mouthsex, and Panzys.

Good Times: And Cold Beer EP

Springfield acoustic project Good Times has released a new five-song EP titled Good Times and Cold Beer on bandcamp. Good Times features Clint Kesinger of metal band Battalion. You can find the new EP streaming below or you can also head over to the Good Times bandcamp page where you can also purchase the songs for a total of $3. Good Times also released a self-titled EP in the summer of last year. He is set to do a tour at the end of this month with other acoustic artist Vinnie Hines. Keep an eye out for upcoming Good Times show in Springfield.

Borealis: “Healing Process”

Springfield solo noise/ambient project Borealis has recently released a new hit single to the world titled “Healing Process.” You can find that seven-minute long single streaming on the player embedded below. Borealis is a solo project of Mario Cannamela of Soap Scum, Meredosia, and Slam Dinner.

Our Lady / Estates Stream Split 7″ & Announce Show
