The next show happening at Springfield house venue The Radon Lounge is actually this Sunday, March 5th in less than one week. The creative basement space is mixing things up once again and will this time be featuring the paintings of a local artist – Amanda Greive up on their walls on display, and also some Baklava goodness from local restaruant Yanni’s Gyros. In addition to all of that of course there will be some music bands performing. This includes “Eward + Jane“- a touring duo from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Also playing this one is Alex & The XOs from Bloomington, Illinois. We actually have some of their music streaming on the player below. The third act on the bill here is “Kneller” – a new indie rock band in Springfield that we know nothing about!

Check out a facebook event for this show right here. Things are kicking off Sunday at 7:00 pm and admission is $5. If you don’t know where The Radon is, you better look into their website and ask them! Also check out our Springfield shows page for a list we try to keep updated of shows happening in town outside of Black Sheep.

Looks like The Radon Lounge are going to be having their next show very soon – one week from today on Sunday, February 5th. We also just announced our next show happening at Black Sheep also on that very same night unfortunately, so you will have to choose between shows or try to show-hop to both. This show over at The Radon Lounge features Nashville touring artist Von Strantz, who is no stranger to the lounge. Check out some of her music streaming on the player below. Also on this show is the big time hippy-punk band Good Companions featuring Danny Kerwin. We love the Good Companions. Before that is one of the stars off of the hit Springfield web series “The Studio Show” – Arlin Peebles performing solo. Before that The Radon Lounge has Chicago singer/songwriter David Rokos on board to perform. Looks like things will be opening up with some baked goods by Emma Wilson.

This show will start over at the Radon Lounge at 7:00 pm for just $5. (Same time and cost as the Black Sheep show). Check out a facbook event for this one right here. Also be sure to check out our Springfield shows page for a list of shows coming up in town outside of Black Sheep (we are working on it).

Our friends over at Springfield house venue The Radon Lounge are once again throwing their big annual “Christmas Explosion” and this time we don’t have anything planned that night at Black Sheep so we can all make it out. The Christmas Explosion this year is this upcoming Friday the 16th and it will also be a celebration of five years of The Radon Lounge putting on shows in Springfield. We have our Ugly Christmas Sweater show happening the next day on the 17th and the Black Sheep Holiday Show happening the following week on Friday the 23rd. The lineup for The Radon Lounge’s Christmas Explosion this year features Timbre – the Harpist from Nashville returning to The Radon Lounge. Check out some of her music streaming on the player below. Also on this show is the shoegaze act from Lincoln, Illinois also familiar to the Radon – Hushpad. Also is the folk duo The Dandelion Pickers. We have also be told that the Springfield “Uketopians” will be closing out the night with some Christmas Ukulele tunes.

With this show being at The Radon Lounge, you can also expect some food and hot chocolate and arcade games of some sort. Things kick off over there at 6:00 pm and admission is $5. The Radon Lounge are of course keeping it up with their monthly shows hosted in their basement venue and they have recently announced their plans for November with this show happening on Saturday, November 19th. Yes, this is the same night as the Black Sheep Band Lotto, but we figured it’s important to let you know what’s going on in town so that you can decide where to go and what to do! For this show The Radon has Red Sweater Lullaby returning from Las Vegas, Nevada. You can stream some of that project’s music below, which also performed at The Radon Lounge a couple of years back. Then coming from St. Louis is an acoustic artist, Kevin Schlereth who also played at The Radon Lounge for one of their earlier shows. Up before that is Chris Bernstorf performing some spoken word and Keyoung from Columbus, Ohio. Opening things up looks like a performance by Brandon Austin who has set up a couple of hip hop shows at Black Sheep in the past.

That show at The Radon starts at 7:00 pm and is $5. You can check out a facebook event for that one right here. Check out the Radon Lounge’s website for more info on them as well as where you can find out their secret location.
