Today + Tonight at Dumb Records: 4 Year Anniversary + Free Record Day

freerecord4_final

It’s time for that wonderful annual holiday that we invented last year at Dumb Records – Free Record Day. That’s right, Free Record Day has already kicked off over at the record store (1107 South Grand Ave. East) and will be going on until 10:00 pm tonight. If you walk into the store at any point today you will get handed a free record, no if’s, and’s or butt’s about it.

In addition to free record day, there will also be an in-store show to go along with the anniversary at 7:00 pm. For that we have three acts performing. We are going to do our best at squeezing in the Southtown Livin’ Thing Band inside the record store for the first time and see how it goes! Be sure to bring a helmet for that one. We also have two touring musicians on board. This includes our friend Jared Grabb – solo folk artist from Peoria, Illinois that just recently had a new record come out. Stream some of that on the player embedded below. Jared will be on tour with Brett Conlin who will also be performing.

Dumb Records will be open on Thursday from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. The show kicks off in the evening at 7:00 pm. Find a facebook event for all of this right here. Also check out our shows page for a look at what else is coming up at Black Sheep / Dumb Records in the new year.
