Screen Shot 2016-08-10 at 7.43.28 PM.png

Tonight we are bringing you a video of one of the first shows of new Springfield band – Undone, who has been doing a lot over the past few weeks but is also having to go on a (possibly temporary) hiatus due to band members moving this fall. Undone features members of Garter, GUSH, and Green Messiah. You can check out a video of them performing at Black Sheep on August 1st along with Blank Spell, Moondead, and GRINN below. Thanks to Ted Keylon for taking video!

Keep a lookout for one final Undone show for a while to be happening sometime very soon! Also keep an ear out for a recorded demo sometime in the near future. Also check our “vids/pics” page for a better look at other videos from bands who have performed here over the years.

You all know that on Sunday, August 21st we have something big planned at Black Sheep – and that is the return show for half-Springfield band Looming. That show is happening at 7:00 pm along with bands Euriah and Vonne. Today we are telling you that we are adding a three-band punk show later on at Dumb Records to the mix to make it an all around crazy night. The show happening inside Dumb Records will include the touring band Whitewash from Austin, Texas which you can find streaming on the player below. Also on this show we have Dry Heave, making a return to Springfield for the first time since Dumb Fest. And then we also have the newly-formed GRINN on the bill.

This show will start at around 9:00 pm inside Dumb Records, right as soon as Looming is done playing inside Black Sheep. Donations will be taken for the touring act. Find a facebook event for this one right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page right here for a look at what else is coming up in the next few months.

We have a five band metal show going on at Black Sheep tonight! It’s a Monday night, and also our only show happening this week between Black Sheep Fest and something special that we have coming up this weekend (big website post coming up this afternoon). Tonight we have heavy hitting metal band Set Fire To Salem. We also have the Decatur-based metal band called “Grays Divide” which you can find streaming on the player below. Then we have two touring acts from what it looks like. This includes Echo of Silence from Detroit, Michigan. They will also be touring along with “Dyne Side” all the way from Miami, Florida. Opening things up we have the Central Illinois/Carlinville-based instrumental metal band Noesis.

The show tonight will be starting at 7:00 pm, and admission is $7. Check out a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a look at what other shows we have left this summer and into the fall.

You can check out Blank Spell’s newest demo below. Also playing tonight is the three-piece talented punk band Moondead from right here in Springfield.
