The July show announcements are piling in harder and faster than we can almost keep up with! This one is happening on Sunday, July 24th and it packs some serious ROCK we are also not sure we can handle. For this show we have the band HOUND (featuring members of Bad Side and Ted Leo & The Pharmacists) coming from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. You can check out some of their music streaming on the player below. To go along with that type of serious rock, we have Springfield’s most serious rock band- Livin’ Thing lined up on this roster. Before that is the relaxed and *chill* Champaign-Urbana 90’s rock band Copper Blue. Then kicking things off we have the very first ever show for a new Springfield band going by the name of “Chili Mac.” Show up on time to find out what that is all about.

This show will start at 7:00 pm and admission is $6 this time around. You can find a facebook event for this one right here. Also check out our shows page for a look at what else is coming up at Black Sheep this summer.

The touring package includes the band The Cambion (pictured above) from somewhere in Indiana and Illinois. Then coming from a little bit farther away is the band Fail To Decay from Minnesota. Stream some of Fail To Decay’s music on the player below, it’s metal. We’ll see if any other local acts get added to this!

Looks like they play some type of “moon rock” and you can find their music streaming on the player below. This show will also be a tour kick-off show for Decatur, Illinois’s very own Mammoth Cannon, and will also be their first time performing at Black Sheep. Come say “hi” and “bye” to them. Would you look at just how brutal that flier up there looks. That’s right, we have this show happening at Black Sheep this upcoming Thursday, June 30th. We are not sure why this flier says “18+” by the way, all of Black Sheep’s shows are all ages (duh!)! For this show we have the band Tyrant (no, not The Tyrants) playing and coming from Lansing, Michigan. They are very metal. Also on this show is the Decatur-based band Becoming The Adversary who actually just played at Black Sheep a couple of weekends ago! You can actually stream one of their songs on the player below. One more band on this bill, and that is Through Burning Eyes and with a name like that, you know it’s got to be metal as heck.

This show will start at 7:00 pm and admission is $5. You can find a facebook event for the show right here. This show is all ages (duh)! Also check out our shows page for a good look at what other shows are coming up here at Black Sheep in the near future.

Wow, look-ee here! Looks like we have a show happening at Black Sheep in exactly two weeks with some sort of killer lineup. That’s right, Kowabunga! Kid are returning to Springfield after just releasing their very first ever full-length LP (go ahead and stream that below), and will also be playing here on the last date of their big west coast tour (which starts today). Excited to have the kids back on the big stage. Speaking of big stages, we have the big-stage, big-rock band Livin’ Thing on the bill. We are excited to have them too. Then is another special guest- The Noids on tour from Denton, Texas. How nice! Last but not least we have the naughty and nasty Springfield hardcore band, GUSH.

This show will be another 7:00 pm, $5 show. Don’t miss it. Check out a facebook event for this one right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a good look at what else is coming up at Black Sheep this summer. It’s going to be a good one!

Wow-ee look at this, it’s a six band show happening in August. This one is happening on Saturday, August 20th. You think this can get over in four hours? We think so. For this show we have the all-local pop group The Locals performing. We also have the stars on the bill Stereo Static, who were responsible for setting this one up. Bravo guys! We also have Fill In The Blank, filling in all of those blanks on this show. Then we have Gadget– an emo band from Decatur who will actually also be playing our Battle of the Bands on July 9th (very cool). Before them we have Blind Social on the bill, the alternative rock n’ roll indie rock band. Check out some of Blind Social’s music on the player below. And opening things up (we think) is The Incorporated! based out of Litchfield and Macomb these days (we also think).

This show will start at 6:30 pm and admission is only $5 for the six bands. You can check out a facebook event for this one right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a good look at what else is coming up at Black Sheep this summer.

More July show announcements, here we go! On Wednesday, July 13th we have a show lined up for you all. This one features the youthful and rowdy punk band Panzys, who we have not seen in quite a minute at Black Sheep. Make sure to make it out to their spectacular return. The touring / out of town band on this bill is Chicago’s own Lower Automation. They play an experimental type of punk, and you can find their music streaming on the player below. Starting this show off we have a couple of wacky Ted Keylon projects. The first of which is TANG (The Avant National Guard), who will be bringing the noise and the weirdness. Opening things up is the electric ukulele-driven rock band, Sweet Bippy.

This show will start at 7:00 pm and admission is $5. You can’t find a facebook event for this one yet, sorry. In the meantime you can check out our shows page for a look at what all is coming up at Black Sheep this summer.
