Cats n rats, we have a double whammy smacking Southtown today. During the day, we have a VEGAN taste testing happening at Clay’s Popeye’s Barbeque, located on 1121 South Grand avenue (right along Southtown). The vegan options being offered for taste testing are inspired by dishes brought to Dumb Fest 2 by Southtown’s beloved food angel Apryl. From 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm stop by Popeye’s to try some delicious options! We have been told that the new voted menu items will be made ready next weekend just in time for Black Sheep Fest. This event is also free to the public- it does not cost anything to taste test.

As for TONIGHT, we have a show happening! As the flier below will tell you, the local snake charmers in Akaname will be exhibiting their classy ska-core punker tunes, which will surely be a rad time. Jessica Knight of Looming will sing some super fly acoustic tunes and it will be trill. We also have one touring band on the bill from Wisconsin. They are called Foreign Lawns, and you can stream their brand new demo on the player below. Then to provide some fierce femme folk-punk will be the local act Wilt Candy. There’s another local band called Ego and the Ids, which features members of the local band Naughtalus, so check out their fine moody tunes. A touring band called Foreign Laws and their music will have a scary punk attitude, so don’t miss it. There may be a suprise guest so definitely check that out! This show will be fresh so make sure to check out the cool bands and support the touring band.
