After finishing their kickstarter champaign with an amount surpassing their original goal at the beginning of this month, Southtown Sound– the new recording studio coming soon to Southtown has been hard at work making magic happen in their new space. Last night the new studio gave an update along with some photos on how the studio is coming along. From the update:

If everything goes according to plan, we will hopefully have everything moved in at the end of February – early March. We will be spending a week or so troubleshooting our system and gear and making sure everything is running smoothly.
Once we get closer and we have a more concrete opening date, we will start reaching out to Kickstarter artists to get you booked and in the studio!
We are also looking to have a “studio warming” or christening of sorts when we open the doors, so be on the lookout for that and come on by and check out the space!
Thank you all so much for your patience and support throughout this project. We are so thrilled to see the excitement surrounding this project and we have a lot of great plans in store and cannot wait to start working with you all.

You can follow along more of Southtown Sound’s progress with the new studio here on their facebook page. We will also be sure to continue to give out updates on their progress as well, and also give updates on the first recording projects they take on as soon as the studio space is complete.
