I Am A Cheeseburger

We had a good time at the Stranger Things pinball tournament at Vault 66 last weekend

This coming Saturday we have this hip-hop and mixed genre show happening downtown.

Here are all those shiny new records getting released this Friday

– A new one from TWISTED TEENS – a band most everyone who works here can agree on, and their THIRD album to come out this year. “Holy Cross Tigers” on maroon colored vinyl.
– BAD BRAINS have unearthed some early studio recordings and they are being released to vinyl this Friday! “Are You Ready: The First Studio Recordings” on white vinyl.
– TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS “No Sleep Til L.A.” a collection of rare and unheard recordings from Petty’s first 8 years as a recording artist in the 1970’s.
– Hardcore metal act HATEBREED have their eighth studio album “Fatal Paradox” out. We are not sure what color we are getting.
– A 20 year anniversary press of EVANESCENCE’s 2006 album “The Open Door” on blue swirly vinyl.
– KINGS OF LEON and their tenth studio album “Oh My Beloved” out on indue exclusive colored vinyl.

This week Pep picked old John Prine

“How about some good country folk Americana to lead us into November and the colder months. This is my second John Prine pick – I had previously picked his debut 1971 album “John Prine” and tonight I am picking his very last album to come out in 2018, 47 years later. There you have it, Prine recorded this album “Tree Of Forgiveness” in Nashville with Producer Dave Cobb and it debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at #5 which was Prine’s highest ranking album on the chart his entire career. Of course his passing came two years later in 2020 which may have lead to younger generation of fans discovering his music. You can start at his first album or his last, I think most Prine fans agree it’s all good stuff and he remains one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time.”

It was pretty cool J. Mascis popped up at the arcade last weekend on Halloween.

Also thinking back to Goth Night 2 weeks ago at our downtown record store as we close up spooky season and head toward the holly jolly part of the year.
