It seems like the curse of van breakdowns has been strong with touring bands coming to play at Black Sheep! Tonight we had a couple of touring bands scheduled to play at Dumb Records but unfortunately they had to drop the gig after being stuck and broke down in Kentucky. However, we will still be having the show inside Dumb Records with just the two locals acts- F///\\\M and Gutterpriest. This will probably be the last F///\\\M show, so be sure to catch it out! The solo project of Brandon Carnes also released a new 3-song EP on the internet last night, which you can find streaming below.

Game night will also still be happening tonight at 8:00 pm. Come out at 7:00 pm to catch a couple of bands at Dumb, and then mosey on over to Black Sheep for a game of Yahtzee! All of this is now free. Check out a facebook event for the Dumb Records show right here, and also a facebook event for game night right here. Before that is something interesting and that is Slave Cable- a newer St. Louis noise project featuring members of Animal Teeth. This one is going to be a rocker. We have long time running Springfield hard rock band Dead Zebbra (possibly their first time playing Black Sheep at least in a while?) on the bill. The touring act on this show is “Strangefellas” (pictured above). Strangefellas comes from the other Springfield in Missiouri. You can stream some of their music on the player below. Opening things up for this one we have the Springfield doomy sludge band Green Messiah.

It’s time to let the wolves loose inside Black Sheep tonight! That’s right, we are having two wolf bands play tonight and it’s also the cassette release show for both Wolf Luv and Pryss. Pryss dropped their new 3-4 song demo online earlier this week, which you can listen to again on the player below. Wolf Luv will also be releasing a cassette at the show tonight, both being put out by Ooey Gooey Tapes. Also playing the show is Springfield’s own GUSH and a new Bloomington/Normal project which we don’t know a whole lot about called WLVES.

The show tonight will start at 7:00 pm and admission is $5. Bring a few bucks for a tape maybe. You can find a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a good look at everything else coming up at Black Sheep in the next few months.
