New Band Pages Added: Luzhin Defense, Go!Tsunami, Ghost Hollow Road, The Limiates

Since the launch of our new website we have added four new band pages for you all to check out.

The first three are additions to our current bands section.  The first is the two-man synth electronic project, Luzhin Defense.  Then we have the surf rock band Go!Tsunami.  Be sure to check out their long and well-written bio.  And then we have a page for Americana folk band Ghost Hollow Road.

Our past bands section is going to be an on going project.  We have added a page for The Limiates, an old ska band from the late 1990s.  For them you can stream their album from a newly created bandcamp player, or you can head over to the Springfield music Some Things Can’t Be Ignored for more info on the band.

Making pages for every past and current Springfield band and musical project will take some time, and we will never be able to come close to covering every band without your help.  If you play in a band or have played in a past band that is not yet on our site then please get a hold of us at blacksheepspringfield@gmail.com.  We would love to hear from you.

We would also like to say thanks for everyone who has been supportive of the new website so far.  We launched the site about one week ago and have been amazed at how great of a response we have been getting.  It’s all of you supportive people out there that keep The Black Sheep going and projects like this one would not be possible without you.

New Hospital Job Album To Be Released On Insubordination Records

Springfield pop-punk supergroup Hospital Job are going to be coming out with their debut full-length album soon, and word on the street is that the album will be released on vinyl through Insubordination Records.  From the Insubordination Records facebook page:

The Hospital Job (new band consisting of Luke from the Copyrights) coming in the fall on Insub. Mind = Blown. We haven’t been this excited since Mutiny Pop came out.

They also added that the album is likely to be released in October and the first pressing will feature 100 records on green wax and 200 on mixed marble.  Hospital Job, which features Luke McNeill of The Copyrights, recently posted two new tracks supposedly from the upcoming full length onto their bandcamp page.  You can stream the two new tracks below.  They also have a show coming up at the Poon Lagoon here in Springfield on September 1st.
