“My pick this week is Otis Redding’s classic album “The Dock of the Bay.” We’re definitely due for more picks to have in our soul section at all times, and this is essential. Dock of the Bay was actually released posthumously – Otis tragically died in a plane crash at 26 years old, and some of the tracks were recorded just days before his death. Some other notable musicians play on this as well including Booker T. Jones and Isaac Hayes.”
