This weekend is getting a little crazy ’round here. First off on Saturday we have this Advanced Listening Party for Mitski at the Mall. People will be encouraged to do some scrapbooking at this event. This event starts at 5, so people have a chance to attend and then head downtown for the show:

This will be a big mixed bill Benefit show the Springfield Immigrant Advocacy Network. All kinds of bands playing for a great cause.

Then on Sunday we have this crazy hardcore show happening downtown!

Here’s all the hot new titles coming out on vinyl this Friday!

– A new one from MUMFORD & SONS, their 6th studio album “Prizefighter”. We should have some on indie exclusive amber vinyl and some white.
– A reissue of GEORGE MICHAEL’s monumental breakthrough studio album “Faith” originally released in 1987! We should have a couple of copies of the deluxe double vinyl, but just regular reissues as well.
– Bob Mould’s 90’s alternative band SUGAR has a few reissues coming out! We ordered the most of their 1992 hit album “Copper Blue” out on golden (copper?) vinyl.
– Another 90’s re-issue from Canadian punk band Propagandhi “How To Clean Everything”
– American country artist MEGAN MORONEY and her third studio album “Cloud 9” on double pink vinyl!
– Rapper DANNY BROWN and his sixth studio album “Stardust” is coming out on white vinyl, this was released digitally late last year.
– We also have re-issues coming from hip hop duo CLIPSE. We ordered maybe the most of their 2006 album “Hell Hath No Fury.”

“How about we pick out a good blues pick this week, gang. Time to beef up the blues? Here is Chester Arthur Burnett – also known as HOWLIN’ WOLF – master of the blues and also the blues harmonica. Howlin’ Wolf’s album “Moanin’ In The Moonlight” – it’s actually a compilation of songs that were recorded from 1951 to 1959. It’s got “Smokestack Lightnin'” on it, oh and another favorite of mine “Evil.”
