Today we are bringing you a stream of a brand new never-heard-before track of the first ever recording for the Springfield band SAP! That song is called “Shmutz” and you can stream it on the player below.

“Shmutz” comes off of the band’s upcoming release titled Maiden, Mother, Crone which will be released on cassette at the upcoming show next Saturday, January 17th at Black Sheep. The show includes SAP, Sick Sad World, Person, The Funs, and WARRS. Springfield tape label Ooey Gooey Tapes will be releasing the eight-song cassette hopefully in time for the show next weekend. It looks like Springfield experimental rock group boon have come out with a brand new six-song EP that we were not expecting! The EP is being called “The South Town EP” and was recorded right here at South Town Studio by Brandon Carnes. It looks like that this month we get to hear another song by Night/Hex, a electronic/ambient project by some of those who brought us the dream pop band War Magic. This time the song is called “12/5” and you can find it streaming below, or for download at your own price on the Night/Hex bandcamp page. Neither Night/Hex nor War Magic currently have any live shows lined up.

Night/Hex released an EP called Yuki earlier this year, and it is in the running on our best of Springfield 2014 poll that will begin sometime this weekend. The band also released songs “11/6” and “11/15” last month.

It looks like the Springfield hardcore band that has everyone scratching their heads has come out with yet another demo. This is “Demo Three,” and is the third demo Diaper Rash has released with one going up nearly ever single week. You can check out “Demo Three” streaming below or head over to the Diaper Rash bandcamp page where you can download it for free. Earlier last month we posted the first Diaper Rash demo along with a mysterious photo of the band. Can you figure out who might be in the band based on the photo?

We do know that Diaper Rash will be playing their first show on December 13th with Cloud Rat, Disrotted, Teen Freak, and The Wrong at Black Sheep. Come to that show to find out who these babies really are.

Today we are bringing you the first ever recording from the Springfield solo project Rella, which is the acoustic project of Clare Frachey of the band SAP. This first recording is of a cover of a song called “No Time” by the band Late of the Pier. Rella currently does not have any shows lined up, but SAP will be playing on Sunday, December 28th for a show and movie screening. More information on that can be found right here.

This Thanksgiving it looks like we have a surprise from a new Springfield band that we still know very little about. Last week we did a streaming of “Demo One” from Springfield’s newest mystery punk band going by the name of “Diaper Rash.” It is only one week later and we were just mysteriously emailed the file for “Demo Two” from diaperxrashxband@aol.com. Today we are bringing you a stream that we are a little late to the party for, and that is of the new band, Milchjunge’s new 2014 demo. For those of you who do not know, “Milchjunge” is German for “Milkboys” and the band features songs with all German lyrics. If you don’t believe us, you can listen for yourselves. Today we are bringing you a stream of some new and fresh Springfield noise from the solo noise project Gazeebo. The stream is of Gazeebo’s new two-track demo, which was released by Ooey Gooey Tapes at the Southtown Record Fair last weekend along with a couple of other tapes. Gazeebo is the noise project of Drew Kodrich who also runs Ooey Gooey Incorporated. Today we have a very interesting stream of a new demo from a new Springfield punk band that we know very little about. The band is called Diaper Rash, and we do not know who is in the band, but we do know that the band will be playing their very first show on Saturday, December 13th at Black Sheep along with Cloud Rat, Disrotted, Teen Freak, and The Wrong. The only info we have on this band is a photo of them wearing baby masks (above). The new project is called Triple Thrash Threat, and the song that we have today is called “Sleep”.
