It’s a Sunday night so that means we should all come out to Black Sheep for some fun and a show with great bands. Tonight From The Eyes of Servants from Rockford, Illinois will be coming down to play the show. We also have No Longer Bound playing melodic hardcore all the way from Michigan. And then from Peoria we have the return of Ghost Key. All of that will have local support from wrestling villains Scott Blacula.

Tonight at Black Sheep we have a great local pop punk show for you all. This show will be the return of Up In Arms, the pop punk explosion of fun. Then we have the other great pop punk band of Springfield, Kickstart. Hometown Heavyweights will then be playing their first show at Black Sheep. And finally we have Fill In The Blank, which is a new band based in Taylorville who will also be playing their first show at Black Sheep. Come out and support our young and talented musicians!

The show announcements for the winter keep rolling in! Today we are here to tell you that there will be another harsh noise and mixed-genre show at Black Sheep on the 22nd of December. Non-harsh noise band and new local band War Magic will be playing one of their first shows. Then we have the second show of harsh noise project Ylem. And from out of town (Milwaukee) we have straight-edge power electronics act xALLxFORxTHISx. Also from Milwaukee we have Peter J. Woods, also playing theatrical harsh noise.

It looks like Springfield has been seeing quite a handful of new houses putting on shows in recent times! Today we bring you news of a New Year’s Eve show going on at a fairly new “Harm House”. The show features Estates, on tour and playing 90’s emo punk from Milwaukee. Local bands playing include Mildred, Our Lady, and Mother Leopard. This will be one not to miss!

Wow! We have one heck of a mixed show for you all tonight on this last day of November. Pop punk folk punk band Our Lady will be playing. Also playing is Skywalker, a new death metal band featuring at least one member from Scott Blacula. Speaking of Scott Blacula, they are also playing the show! Winter is approaching fast and so are the holidays! That means it is time for a Black Sheep Holiday show with some great local bands! On Saturday, December 29th we are having a New Years Eve/Christmas celebration all in one. And now for the bands playing! First we have the all-new Dream Eater featuring members of Nathan & The Sheep and Mildred. Next we have the very heavy shoegaze project Caterpillar Club. Then we have pop-punk all stars Up In Arms bringing the fun. The Timmys will be there playing some songs off of their brand new full length album. And last we have Our Lady, wish them luck before they go on tour in January!

Hey everybody, welcome to The What’s Fun Show Report for November 26th through December 2nd.

It’s going to be a great week to be in Springfield! On Wednesday, the great Reverend Horton Heat will be at Donnie’s Homespun with Kentucky Knife Fight. Black Sheep will be hosting Our Lady, Skywalker, Scott Blacula, Suffer The Wrath, and DB Cooper on November 30th. Later that evening, What Thou Will and Tradition ov Tourture will be melting The Tin Can Pub. It then gets all alt-country at Donnie’s on Friday with Iron Orchard and The Great Waltz on Saturday. To close out the week, Supersuckers (Sub Pop Records) will be at Bar None with Two Trick Pony and Number 9 Blacktops on December 2nd. And you said there’s nothing ever going on in Springfield…
