The Southtown art shop Artifacts will be reopening on Monday, October 1st and they will be having a big celebration to go along with it.  From the facebook event:

We will be having an Opening Celebration on Oct. 1 with a music set by MonDope between 7pm and 9pm to kick it off, So stop by and check out our new selection of hats from Grassroots California, Clothing from the likes of Seedless and Whoopzip, Prints and Paintings, and of course the finest collection of glass in Springfield, IL. The celebration will kick off at Artifacts and the Southtown common grounds at noon on Monday and continue on until 9:00 pm.  Live music will take place at 7:00 pm from acts MonDope and Killinoize.  There will be live painting and art from acts Dreams Manifesting in Technicolor and more.  Artifacts has also undergone some remodeling so you should come and check out the new place!
