Tonight we are having a really good Sunday night show and you should all come out! Tonight will feature a performance by touring Springfield musicians Our Lady! This will be their first show at Black Sheep since all the way back in November. This show will also feature touring act Run, Forever from Braddock, Pennsylvania! Run, Forever have played here a number of times in the past. You can find some of their music streaming on the player below. Also on this show we have the shoegaze project from North West Indiana, Cloakroom. To top that all off the show will be opened up by Springfield fun indie rock band Looming.

Tonight is the night we all come to Black Sheep and watch the first ever band from Japan perform on our stage. What a beautiful thing. That band is Ultra Bidé, which started in 1978 and have released a number of albums on punk label Alternative Tentacles. Don’t miss out on your chance to see them! Also on this show we have the Springfield villains Table Drama. They will surely be stirring things up big time. On this show we also have touring band Carnivores At Grace from Chicago. They play post-hardcore type stuff. There will also be a performance by newer Springfield punk band The Oswalds. We also have Springfield pop punk band The Science Of playing some tunes for us.

Tonight there is a show at Black Sheep that will be oozing with fun out the sides and into the sewers. If you like scummy punk or hardcore then this is the show for you. We have local superstars Soap Scum jazzing things up for us tonight. Tonight will also be the return of Champaign/Urbana raw punk band Chain’s Gang. The last time Chain’s Gang made a Black Sheep appearance was about one year ago. Check out some of their music streaming below. Also on the bill and touring from St. Louis is the sewer-punk band Animal Teeth. Animal Teeth is a band off of Lumpy’s very own Spotted Race. Starting things off is Asthma, who will be releasing their demo cassette at this show. Make sure you get there early to hear what that band is all about!

Tonight at Black Sheep we are having a “big bad acoustic show”! Tonight is a good night to bundle up and listen to some softer acoustic tunes. There will also be some sort of a pot luck and clothing drive at Black Sheep so even more reason to go. As far as acoustic performances, we have Jess Knight of Asthma and Looming doing a solo set. There will also be a performance by Dustin Sendejas formerly of The Transatlantic. We also have the second Black Sheep performance by Rella, the new solo project of Clare Freaky. And make sure to come out early to catch a brand new project called “Honey/Suck” featuring Aubrey Puyear.

Do you like pop? Do you like to dance around and pop? Tonight at Black Sheep we have just the show for you. We have the band Red Light Compliance returning from Chicago. They play pop-punk and played at Black Sheep last summer. Check out some of their music playing on the player embedded below. This show will also feature local Green Day-esque punkers Negative 17. Don’t miss them. We also have Full Chroma, who are also being featured on Black Sheep Radio today at 4:00 pm! Be sure to catch Brandon Carnes ask them all sorts of ridiculous questions in funny voices. To top that all off the two-piece jam rock band Yogi Beara is going to perform for us. As you can see, we have a show to start off the month of March sponsored by SKG Productions, which is a booking agency focused in bringing music to most areas in central Illinois. On this Saturday, the 1st of March, we’ll be featuring the hardcore melodies of the central Illinois band Deviant. We’ll also be featuring the metal band Your Phobia as well as hardcore band Loses the Mighty. Our friends from Old Fox Road will also be playing their wholesome folk-pop tunes at this show, so try to come out and support these guys if you dig it! SKG shows always have really good turnout and these bands are sure to give us their all, so try to make it out to this one and get energized!

Tonight is a Monday night and there is a show happening at Black Sheep! What show? It’s going to be a crazy show, with a battle set. That’s right, this time Table Drama will be taking on the mighty Orator, the sludge band from Champaign. The last time Black Sheep hosted a battle set was this past summer’s Black Sheep Fest when Scott Blacula took on Emperor Norton. The touring band on this show is Endeavor from Virginia. Endeavor played at Black Sheep last September. Endeavor will be on tour with the progressive hardcore band Servants. You can check out some of Servants toons on the player embedded below. Opening up this show we have the instrumental video game themed band Like… With Jetpacks.

Tonight is going to be a wild night at Black Sheep as we have this six-band throw down as our only show this weekend. Our new record store Dumb Records is going to be open until 9:00 pm and bands are going to be playing non-stop inside Black Sheep so Southtown is going to be popin’. Who do we have playing tonight? We have the newer Peoria heavy sludgy rock band Dirt Wizard headlining the bill, so make sure you stick around and see them. We have Central Illinois post hardcore band Hope For Now playing the Black Sheep as a part of their weekend tour. We also have the return of Taylorville stoner-metal band Witchweed! We have Champaign-area Central Illinois post hardcore band Loses The Mighty, who also just played the last show at Black Sheep one week ago. We have Chicago pop-punk band Remington, featuring one member of hardcore Dumb Fest band NEED. And first but not least we have a performance by a brand new Springfield metal band called Kharybdis, which features members of Table Drama.

The show will start at 7:00 pm but Dumb Records will be open all day today from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. The show is also $5 (less than $1 per band). On our list of shows coming up in late February, we have this one on Friday the 28th! It will be featuring a few farmilar faces and sounds, such as the honest folk-punk tunes of Old Fox Road from Arthur, IL. St. Louis band Good Times, who is no stranger to Black Sheep, will also be playing tonight. The loungey, ambient rock tunes from this artist is sure to please so come and check it out! We will also be featuring the Florida based act Devin Williams, who will be playing some bluesy delta rock jams- so come out, listen to his tunes and feel the soul. We almost forgot to mention that this show will also feature acoustic folk-punk band Montagh. Catch them before they blow up and go off to Hollywood!

This show will be brutal! The band we know as Corcid will be playing this evening- will they play their technical death jams or their or their monstrous heavy beat down jams? Who knows, come find out! Then we’ll be graced by some melodic hardcore stuff from the midwestern folks in Deviant. The Litchfield metal band Your Phobia will also be taking a place on the black sheep stage tonight and are sure to create a blackened circle pit so don’t miss out! Loses the Mighty is a band from Shipman, IL and their ambient hardcore jams are sure to be inspiring. Then there is going to be a good old fashioned rock n’ roll metal band called Airacobra to grace us with some lusciferian tunes. Decatur based Trapped In a Painting will be playing some classic metal styled jams. They are also looking for a vocalist- so come to this show and try your luck with these guys! Check out all these other sets because it’ll be a raw show!
