Tonight at Black Sheep: Honey/Suck, C Is For Cadaver, WARRS, The Incorporated, Napalm For Breakfast

March 27thAfter an incredible show on Wednesday with a great turn out, we are having just one show this weekend at Black Sheep and that is happening tonight! We have the spoken-word act Honey/Suck, which we have not seen play at Black Sheep since last year in December! Make sure to stick around and catch that. We also have a solo/acoustic project called C is For Cadaver, featuring Brent of The Incorporated. Speaking of The Incorporate, the Litchfield-based band will also be playing tonight! You can stream some of C is For Cadaver’s music below. Also playing tonight is Springfield three-piece screamo/hardcore band WARRS. And opening things up is a brand new project called Napalm For Breakfast.

The show starts at 7:00 pm so make sure to get here by then with your $5 cover! Tonight at Black Sheep: Screaming Females, Shellshag, Looming, Kowabunga! Kid

The night that all of Springfield has been waiting for is here, tonight Screaming Females takes the stage with an impressive lineup joining them! Screaming Females has been on tour for awhile now from New Brunswick, New Jersey, and even preformed on SXSW before their performance tonight on our stage. Check out an interview WUIS’s Rachel Otwell did with Marissa Paternoster of Screaming Females last week right here. Also stream a song from Screaming Females’ new album Rose Mountain below. Shellshag is also playing tonight, they are a punk band from Brooklyn that has been gracing stages with their punk grace since 1997. Local band Looming, which is a fantastic pop-rock band is opening up the show with punk band Kowabunga! Kid from Urbana, IL!

This is not a show to miss! The show will kick off right at 7:00 pm and admission is $12 (the show is not yet sold out). Make sure to bring all your friends out, and have a great time seeing an amazing show! This weekend there is only one show happening at Black Sheep and that is a hip hop show happening tonight! This time around the show is a part of a “March Maddness Tour” being put on by Gift Of Gabb Entertainment. Acts playing include The Bad Guy, Wicked Sweet, Trizzle, AK47, and G High. There will also be an appearance and performance by We Back Soon Music Group.

Screaming Females, Shellshag, Looming, K!K One Week Away

JUST in case you all did not know- we have a BIG show coming up at Black Sheep in just one week. That’s right, March 25th is already one week away happening next Wednesday. Why is this show such a big deal? Because Screaming Females from New Brunswick, New Jersey are coming to town! You want to know another reason that this show will be a big deal? Because we will be releasing the full official lineup to Dumb Fest 3-D at this show. That’s right, if you make it out to this show you can be one of the first to know all of the bands playing Dumb Fest 3 on June 12th and 13th.

Screaming Females also just were involved in a multi-part documentary shot by Lance Bangs. You can find part 2 of that documentary below. Also on the show is Shellshag from New York, Looming from Springfield, and Kowabunga! Kid from Champaign/Urbana.

Don’t forget to pre-order tickets for this show. You can find them online right here or at Dumb Records during store hours. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tonight at South Town Studio: King Worm, Callan Aster, Molly’s Worst Enemy, Condor & Jaybird

After a full weekend of wild and crazy shows at Black Sheep, we are kicking off this week with a rare Monday night show at South Town Studio (located right behind Dumb Records and Black Sheep). Shows at South Town Studio are special- with a $5 entry you will also receive a download to a recorded live set from every band that plays. Tonight there are four great bands playing. This includes Springfield hardcore/wormy punk band King Worm. This also includes the Bloomington, IN pop punk band Callan Aster. Then we also have a couple of touring pop/pop punk bands from The Quad Cities, Iowa. This includes a band called “Molly’s Worst Enemy,” whose music you can find streaming below. They will be touring with Condor & Jaybird also from The Quad Cities.

Tonight at Black Sheep: Temple, Statures, Au Revoir Reverend Green, WARRS

Looks like our third show of the weekend here at Black Sheep is happening tonight, and the weather is supposed to be great! Tonight we have a four band show for fans of emo and screamo music alike. We have the band Temple coming from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You can even stream some of their music below! Also on tour with Temple is a band called Statures playing emo/folk also from Milwaukee. Up before them is a brand new Bloomington/Normal project which we have been told features members of some past and current Springfield bands. That project is called “Au Revoir, Reverend Green.” We also have a performance by new hardcore/screamo band WARRS.

Tonight at Black Sheep: One Man Band Bonanza Day 2

Wow, did you know that there is a three day music festival happening throughout Springfield this weekend? That’s right, it is the One Man Band Bonanza, and day 2 of the big Bonanza is happening tonight right here at Black Sheep. One Man Band Bonanza features one-man bands from all over the globe- and tonight we have them coming from Texas, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Mexico. Let’s run over the acts! From Mexico we have a project called Mierde Nino. From Missouri we have the straight forward Casey’s One Man Rock And Roll Band. From Madison, Wisconsin we have Rob Oman, also known as “Roboman.” And for the fourth and final at we have Ghostrider from San Antonio, Texas, who also played day one of the One Man Band Bonanza last night. Looks like things are starting to heat up outside, which means that it is perfect spring weather for coming out to shows at Black Sheep and having a good time! Tonight we now have a five-act show, which has grown from when we first announced the show as having three acts. We still have the lovely Jess Knight of the band Looming performing a solo acoustic set for us tonight. An addition to this show is the Omaha, Nebraska indie rock band- See Through Dresses. See Through Dresses played at Black Sheep a little over a year ago. If you don’t remember them, check out some of their music streaming below. Also still on the bill is the three-piece Springfield emo band, Wir Können. Up before that is The Litchfield-based solo/acoustic act The Incorporated (also an addition to the show). And opening things up we still have the local solo/acoustic act Paqui.

Tonight! It’s a Saturday night and we have our second show out of two shows this weekend! Tonight is a three band great pop/indie/pop punk show for all of you who want to feel great and dance. For this show we have Looming, who is currently wrapping up recording an album in South Town Studio. We also have Jared Grabb Among Thieves coming from Peoria, Illinois. Check out some of Jared Grabb’s music on the player below. And Meredosia will no longer be playing this show (sorry) but we do have Kitten Crisis from Galesburg, Illinois to take their place!
