We don’t know! We do know that we have some great guests coming in and that is the Springfield pop-punk band Negative 17! We will be talking to Negative 17 about their experience winning the Black Sheep Battle of the Bands, and playing Black Sheep Fest. We will also be talking to them about their upcoming show on October 22nd with Stop Drop, RDNT, and Built In A Day.

This episode we will be having Tim and Molli of Our Lady come in as guests. We might also have Tim performing one or two songs acoustic in the studio for us. Be sure not to miss it! Those of you who were trying to listen to The Black Sheep Radio show last week might have noticed we had a little bit of technical difficulties and an older episode got put on the air instead of our newest one (oops!). The team over at Black Sheep Radio headquarters are very sorry for this mistake and they have promised us here at blacksheepspringfield.com headquarters that they will make it up to all of us somehow. For starters, the episode that was supposed to air on Friday is already on our radio tab. You can download and stream the episode by clicking to the link to it in that tab. Second, the radio crew will be featuring most of last Fridays episode in the new episode that will air tomorrow. This means that we will be airing most of our interview with Central Illinois band Hometown Heavyweights! They played at Black Sheep last night and it was great. This will also be the last episode for a while featuring long time Black Sheep Radio engineer Greg Harvey. We wish Greg the best of luck with all of his future radio engineering projects.

Tomorrow is Friday! That means there is a cool show going on at Black Sheep, and it is also another episode of The Black Sheep Radio Show! Who do we have for our guests on the show this week? Looks like it’s pop-punk band Hometown Heavyweights from all over Central Illinois. Hometown Heavyweights will be playing at Black Sheep very soon on September 4th along with Endevour and Scott Blacula. They will be talking to the radio crew about that show and what other plans they have coming up. We will also be listening to some of their music as well as plenty of other bands local to Springfield.

This includes our usual hosts Robbie Kording and Brandon Carnes, and also one special guest. That special guest is a rap artist and clothing company going by the name Cooshit. We don’t know much else about our guest this week so we are excited to talk to him and find out more about what he does. We will also talk to him about his show coming up at Black Sheep on August 30th, which is being called the “Cooshit SuperDuperDopeDank Show.”

Listen from 4:00 to 6:00 pm tomorrow to hear us talk to George about his 25 years of running Skank Skates and his involvement in our neighborhood. We will be talking to him about how the early years were as well as everything that has been going on in the neighborhood in more recent times. We also have Black Sheep owner Kevin Bradford and Brian Galecki coming in to talk to us about Black Sheep and big plans for this fall. It’s going to be a great episode!

Chris Gunga will be talking to us about The Gunga Dins playing a reunion show at Black Sheep Fest this year (happening in two days)! It looks like Chris and the radio crew will be mapping out some sort of chart on how they thing Black Sheep Fest is going to go… He might also talk to us about having a special repackaged version of a certain 7″ for sale at Black Sheep Fest. We’ll be playing tunes from The Gunga Dins, Chris’s current band Like… With Jetpacks, and plenty of other Black Sheep Fest related music. It is sure to be two hours of fun.

Clint is already a friend of the show and has been in the studio before to talk about his band Battalion. This time he is coming in to talk about his new solo project called Good Times, and also about his recent move to Springfield. Clint will be talking about any upcoming shows he has, and he might also perform a song or two live in the studio.
