The time has come once again for The Illinois Times‘s annual “best of” lists, and they are once again asking for your vote. This year the voting process is going to be ran a little differently- there is going to be a poll for “nominee voting” where you get to write in your own nominees and vote for other people’s nominees. That is going on right now until September 7th. Then later on from September 17th – 28th there is going to be “run off” voting where everyone will get to vote between three nominees to chose the final winner in each category.

This year in the music section of the voting, some of the categories include “best male and female signer/songwriter,” “best rock/pop band,” “best punk band,” “best local music festival,” “best small live music venue,” “best under age band,” and plenty more.
