Tonight at Black Sheep is our big annual Black Sheep Battle of the Bands! This is one particular show where we go out and try to find new and younger bands to perform at our space, and give new opportunities! This battle of the bands we only have four acts performing. They are:

Abyss
100 Acker Wood
Caleb Jefson
Very Good Surfer

The four bands will be performing tonight starting at 7:00 pm. With $5 door entry all of the show-goers will be given a slip of paper where they can vote for their favorite band. We will also have a panel of judges. At the end of the night we will count up tallies for the crowd voting and judges voting. The crowd voting winner will receive a time slot on Black Sheep Fest 2015 (happening July 25th) and the judges voting winner will receive a demo recorded for free at South Town Studio! There is also a lot going on in Southtown earlier in the day today. At 3:00 pm there will be a “vegan throwdown” happening featuring a potluck of vegan food, and everyone is invited. The throwdown will also feature two bands – SAP and Diaper Rash. We have been told that the Diaper Rash set might be acoustic? Come at 3:00 pm to find out what that is all about. Also this afternoon we will be working on some projects involving Project Southtown, including prepping a wall on the side of Dumb Records for a big mural.
