It looks like another small independent label has sprung up in Springfield. It is called Blackbox Records and from the looks of it they will be focusing on releasing cassette tapes. We also have been told that this new label has some members of Springfield emo band Our Lady behind it.

The first Blackbox release has been announced as a cassette re-release for the Table Drama “Heel” EP. Table Drama’s EP was released on CD late last year by another small independent label, Patch Records. You can check out a list of small and local labels we have put together on our community page.

In the Blackbox online store you can also pre-order the cassette release for Table Drama’s “Heel” EP. The tape is scheduled to be released on February 5th. Hopefully Dumb Records will also get to carry a few copies of the tape.
