November 27th at Dumb Records: Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship, Trauma Harness, Nite Frvr, Animals With Human Names

Here’s another show announcement for you all! This one is happening here just the very day after Black Friday – on Saturday, November 27th! It features a number of acts who haven’t played in Springfield in years.

“Superfun Yeah Yeah Rocketship” is a fun dancey type project from the St. Louis area, which has been going on for a very long time now. Literally the last time they played here was in 2012 at Black Sheep. Look, it was even one of our first “show tonight” website posts. You can stream a brand new song from S.Y.Y.R. on the player embedded below. Also on the bill is St. Louis area post-punk band Trauma Harness, who used to frequently play The Black Sheep as well. We also got “NITE FRVR” (I think pronounced “night forever”) which is another project featuring Pat Cadaver, of Bellville Illinois You’re Not Kablamo fame). Opening things up is the one Springfield act on the bill and that is hip hop project Animals With Human Names.

Woohoo! All of that kicks off at 7:00 pm and admission is $6. Check out a facebook event for that show right here. Also check out our shows page for a look at what all is coming up that has been announced at our space.

November 13th at Dumb Records: Attic Salt, Tina Sparkle, Starter Jackets, Oatmilk

Good morning! Happy Monday. We are here to announce another show. We might be slightly behind on getting some show announcements up. This one we are announcing today is happening on Saturday, November 13th! Mark your calendars, and get your fall jackets ready. For this show we have Attic Salt from right here in Springfield – the power pop-punk group who released your favorite album, Get Wise last year in 2020. We also have Tina Sparkle coming from Peoria, Illinois – their first time ever playing Springfield as far as we know! This group has been around the area for a long time, and you can stream their newest album Southern Hospitality on the player below. Also on the gig we got Starter Jackets – making their big return on this side of the pandemic. Opening things up is a newer project from Decatur, Illinois called Oatmilk! Let’s go ahead and give them all one big round of applause.

This show will start at 7:00 pm and admission is $7. Check out a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page where we have a list of what we’ve got announced and coming up!

Bad Man: “Oh No Bad Man Demo”

Good morning! Today we are bringing you a brand new demo from a new Springfield project we know nothing about! Gee, we don’t know anything about this at all! It is one big mystery! The project is called “Bad Man” and you can stream the demo “Oh No Bad Man!” on the player embedded below. Is it a full band? A solo project who knows!

We do know that Bad Man is playing its first show in just eight days on Saturday, October 9th here at Dumb Records along with The Antibuddies, Oleander Grey, and Gargantuan. Check out a facebook event for that show here. Also check out our Springfield Album Archive Page where we have been doing a very bad job of keeping up with local releases for this year.
