Also two solid local acts are on this show, it’s gonna be good. Attic Salt is on this show, they are good. And guess what else, Starter Jackets are also on this show, they are also pretty good.

All of this happens that Wednesday night in October at 7:00 pm and admission is $5. You can check out that flier for some 2019 fall fashion tips to get your outfits ready. Levi Tucker: “The Shoestring EP”

Today we bring you some brand new singer songwriter local music coming outta Jacksonville, Illinois nearby. This is by solo musician Levi Tucker and Levi has released four songs as a release under the name The Shoestring EP. From Levi’s bandcamp page:

As the name implies, this short collection of songs was recorded in a simple, humble way in simple, humble places. Each song was recorded on a single microphone, in one continuous take in an attempt to capture the truest version possible. The result of this is four songs that are the most honest and poignant retelling of the emotions from which they were created.
Nice. You can find those songs streaming on the player embedded below, or also head on over to his bandcamp page where you can purchase the download of the EP.

We are not sure of any shows Levi has lined up at the moment. We are adding this one to our Springfield album archive page, which brings us to 40 releases we’ve had featured so far this year and 466 as a grand total.

Tonight! The weather is very nice out and we are having a party! Well, kind of just a normal show, it’s a short and sweet one, but also a special one because it will be a music video shoot for one of Prevention‘s songs. Just like this. The song the music video is for is their song “Another World.” We are supposed to tell you to learn the words, practice singing along, and your dance moves today before the show at home. Also on this show is Brute Force from the Southern Illinois / St. Louis area. Opening things up is Blushe.

This show starts at 7:00 pm and admission is $5, you just can’t beat that. Check out a facebook event for the show right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a good look at what else we’ve got coming up at Bread Dumb Records in the future!

You better tune in or else! If everything goes as planned, today’s special guest is WQNA station manager Jim Pemberton! WQNA as a station is also hitting the big 40 year mark somewhere right around now! So we’ll be chatting with Jim about all of that, as well as the current state of things for the station and what’s next.

Tune in to our program today and every Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on 88.3 WQNA FM or online at the same time at wqnaradio.org. We’ve been recording past episodes which you can find on our Mix Cloud page!

Jeff says he plans on hopefully getting physical copies of this new album eventually, and is also working on putting together a full band to perform! Stream some of the album on the youtube player below along with some beautiful scenic imagery. Check out the full album on youtube right here, or CD baby right here.

Hey, here’s an all-local show coming up at our space on Sunday, September 29th! This one is going to be neat! A couple of the acts are hot off the open mic nights and straight onto this real deal show. Okay, so at the top of the bill is Starstuff – a fairly new local rock act that had played Black Sheep at one point towards the end of things. We don’t think they have anything online. There is also “Layers” – the poetry music fused duo and sometimes solo act. Come and eat it up with your ears. Reggie & The Demons is playing… who most of us know as “Niko”, this is the name of his new solo project that performed at our last open mic. Then opening things we have the bass / poetry fusion act Vetrell Yates, also playing his first real deal show at our space.

All of this starts at 7:00 pm and admission is $5. It’s one month from tomorrow! Check out a facebook event for this one right here. Also be sure to check out our shows page for a good look at what else is coming up at the near future.
