Today we are happy to bring you a stream of semi-local Americana solo musician Stuart Smith’s new EP: The Sun EP which was released earlier this month. Stuart is based out of the small town of Winchester which is west of us. The Sun EP is six tracks, at least the first of those you can find streaming below. You can check out the full thing on soundcloud right here, or on spotify right here. You can also head on over to Stuart Smith’s website to look into ordering a phyiscal copy of the release – it looks like it is available on CD and a limited amount was pressed to 10″ vinyl but has been sold out!

Stuart Smith released a full length album, which was pressed to vinyl, War Horse last year and we did have copies of that in Dumb Records. That and The Sun EP are being added to our Springfield Album Archive page, which now brings us to 448 archived releases! Stuart does have a number of shows lined up in the area, which you can check out on his facebook page right here.

We are keeping the ball rolling on new band pages on our site with bringing you one today that is long overdue and that is for solo musician Dexter Anodyne. You can check out that page right here – there’s maybe not much on it right now but you can stream the song that Dexter released from an upcoming album that is coming out next month on new local label “Signal Element Records.” Cool! Dexter is playing a show this upcoming Saturday June 29th at Buzz Bomb Brewing Company right by us. After that keep your eyes and ears peeled for info regarding a release show for the new album!

We now count a total of 42 current band pages on our site, which you can check out any of right here (yes, a bunch of them are still outdated and we are working on updating them). Do you play in an original music local band or are a solo musician that has not yet gotten a page set up with us? We would love to hear from you! Send us an email at dumbrecs@gmail.com and we will work with you to get something up!
